Bigg Boss 17 winner Munawar Faruqui has ruled out the possibility of joining politics. Munawar Faruqui has a huge fan following and there is no doubt about it. With that in mind, will stand-up comedians join politics soon? Munawwar was asked the same question during a program recently when he made it clear that he was not interested in it.

In an interview, when Munawwar was asked whether he was getting offers to join political parties before the Lok Sabha elections. On this, the winner of Bigg Boss 17 laughed and said that this was not the right place to discuss this. When asked if he was planning to join politics soon, Munawwar clarified by saying, “No, I am not interested”.

Interestingly, this comes days after Munawar Faruqui was detained along with 14 others during a raid on a hookah parlour in Mumbai. This raid took place in the Bora market of Mumbai. “During the raid, police found stand-up comedian Munawar Faruqui and others smoking hookah. We also have a video of his action. “We detained Faruqui and others, but they were later let go as the sections booked against them were bailable,” a senior police officer said.

All those detained, including Munawwar, were reportedly booked under the Cigarettes and Other Tobacco Products Act as well as sections 283, and 336 of the IPC. However, he was released within a few hours. Munawar Faruqui was also arrested in 2021 for hurting religious sentiments during a stand-up show. He was in jail for 27 days before getting bail.

Munawar Faruqui emerged as the winner of Bigg Boss 17 earlier this year. After Bigg Boss 17, Munavvar was also seen in a music video named ‘Halki-Halki Si’. It was a romantic track which also featured Hina Khan. After this, Munawar Faruqui will reportedly soon be seen in Khatron Ke Khiladi 14. However, there is no official confirmation regarding this yet. The stand-up comedian was also selected for the 12th season of Rohit Shetty’s Khatron Ke Khiladi. However, due to visa-related problems at the last moment, he had to leave the show.
