The new teaser of the upcoming season of the reality show, Bigg Boss, was released by actor Salman Khan. Salman Khan will return as the host with season 16 of the show. On its Instagram account, Colors TV shared a promo clip in which Salman Khan hints about the new season.
The clip begins with a voiceover stating that Bigg Boss has seen everyone’s game in the last 15 years. Glimpses of Gauahar Khan, the late Siddharth Shukla, Shehnaaz Gill, Hina Khan, Shilpa Shinde and Tanisha Mukherjee were given in the video. Also said, “This time Bigg Boss will show his game.”
After this, Salman entered a dilapidated house covered with a pile of dust and broken things. As voiceover pointed out how things will be different this season, Salman said, “Will Bigg Boss play himself this time.”
The video was shared with the caption, “In these 15 years everyone has their own game, but now it’s time to play Bigg Boss. Bigg Boss 16 soon, only on COLORS!”
Reacting to the post, actor Gauahar Khan commented, “Yes Bigg Boss” fans also shared their excitement about the new season. One user wrote, ‘Very excited for Bigg Boss 16.
Bigg Boss is based on the Dutch reality show Big Brother. The first season was aired on Sony TV in 2006 with Arshad Warsi as the host. Shilpa Shetty replaced Arshad to be the host in the second season. Amitabh Bachchan hosted the show for the third season. Since then Salman has been hosting the show.
While the team is yet to officially announce the names of the contestants, actor Charu Asopa and her husband-actor Rajeev Sen have confirmed that they were approached for the show. In an interview, Charu had said, “Yes, I have been approached by the makers for the upcoming season (of Bigg Boss), but I have no idea about Rajeev. Having said this, I have no problem doing a show with him. Work is work.”
Rajiv had said, ‘So far they have been pitying only me. He never talked about Charu… I have got mixed reactions from my family and friends regarding Bigg Boss. So, let’s see how things work. I am still thinking about the offer.”
According to sources, Shehnaaz Gill will host Bigg Boss 16 along with Salman Khan. According to the report, the show will start in October and Shehnaaz will be seen in the premiere episode of the show with Salman.
